You can be a part of it too. This is a full-time role based in Luton, and will be 40 hours per week, with some occasional travel required. We are looking for a Sustainability Manager to join the Sustainability Team whose primary responsibility is to manage environmental sustainability at easyJet. As well as leading action to address the climate impact of flying, the team also established an IATA certified environmental management system to ensure sustainability is considered in everything we do whilst driving improvements. What you need to do the role The Sustainability Manager at easyJet plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Sustainability to incorporate sustainability across the company and drive the next phase of its progression. This role involves overseeing the comprehensive sustainability spectrum, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, and driving internal engagement strategies. The manager will act as a business partner to embed sustainability within a variety of business areas, build sustainability expertise and capabilities, and enhance business resilience. Additionally, they will enable net zero partnerships and projects to achieve their full potential, aligned with easyJet's net zero roadmap. A typical day might see you acting as a 'Chief of Staff' to the Director of Sustainability, managing environmental sustainability reporting, and developing into a business partner for specific business areas. The ideal candidate will also manage internal engagement strategies, build awareness of industry trends and policies, develop subject matter expertise in areas like Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and hydrogen, and support sustainability governance activities. They will work closely with key internal stakeholders, including the ESG Legal Lead, Head of Sustainability Communications, and Group Financial Control, to ensure the successful implementation of easyJet's sustainability initiatives. Key Skills Required: The ideal candidate for the Sustainability Manager role at easyJet should be a highly motivated individual with a passion for sustainability, capable of taking ownership and working both independently and as part of a team. The role requires demonstration of the ability to deliver results, understand and address issues, and continuously look for opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial, requiring the ability to establish rapport quickly and build trust. Analytical capability is essential, as the role involves significant data cross-examination and attention to detail to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement. Effective time management is also critical in the fast-paced environment of easyJet. Key skills required include strong verbal and written communication, experience with Microsoft Excel, business expertise (with aviation experience being beneficial but not essential), knowledge of corporate sustainability and reporting, and project management experience. About easyJet: At easyJet, we're not just about making travel affordable, we're also committed to making wellbeing a rewarding journey for our team through small, healthy steps. We provide the necessary tools and resources, fostering a culture of care and collaboration. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds as part of our ongoing commitment to having a team that truly represents the customers that we serve. You may feel that you don’t meet every single requirement for this role, but we’d still encourage you to submit an application rather than ruling yourself out. And if you need any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, please let us know and we’ll work with you to find a solution. Apply Now We encourage individuality, empower our people to seize the initiative, and never stop learning. We see people first and foremost for their performance and potential and we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation that supports the needs of all. As such we will make reasonable adjustments at interview through to employment for our candidates. #LI-DL1 #LI-HYBRID Requirements of the Role Business Area
