Location: Wilton Centre, Wilton, Lazenby, Redcar, TS10 4RF, UK Project: BP NZT Teesside Pay Rate: GBP500/day (Outside IR35) Start Date: 14th October 2024 End Date: 12th October 2025 Shifts: Monday to Friday, 10 hours/day (08:00 - 18:00)

Are you an experienced Quality Manager with a background in managing large infrastructure projects? We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager for the BP NZT Teesside project, focusing on critical onshore pipelines and power cable infrastructure. This is a key position within the project, ensuring the highest standards of quality control and compliance across multiple complex activities.

Project Overview:

Costain's scope of work within the BP NZT Teesside project focuses on the Out Side Battery Limits (OSBL), which includes the design and delivery of critical infrastructure, including pipelines and power cables:

8km of 22" CO2 Pipeline - New pipeline to gather and supply CO2 to the compression facility. Circa 1.5km of 24" Natural Gas Pipeline - Modifying and returning an existing pipeline to service for Natural Gas supply to the Power Station. 12" Nitrogen Pipeline - Modification of an existing pipeline to supply Nitrogen to both the CO2 compression facility and the Power Station. 275KV High Voltage Cable & Associated Civils Work - New HV cable for electricity import/export between the Power Station and the National Grid.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all quality management activities within the OSBL scope of the project. Ensure quality assurance is maintained across all pipeline and cable installations, meeting all required standards. Develop and implement quality control procedures and plans in accordance with project requirements and industry standards. Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews to verify compliance with quality expectations. Lead the quality team and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring the effective communication of quality requirements. Resolve any quality-related issues and ensure that corrective actions are implemented promptly. Monitor and report on quality metrics, providing updates to senior management and the client.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience as a Quality Manager within large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally in pipelines, power cables, or similar energy-related projects. Strong background in quality assurance and quality control management on complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Experience working on offshore/onshore pipelines and high-voltage cable installations is highly advantageous. Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards. Experience in managing and mentoring a team of quality professionals. CSCS card holder and relevant H&S certifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
