Goods-in / Mechanical Inspector

What you'll do as a Goods-in/ Mechanical Inspector: This role will combine 2 key responsibilities: Goods-in Inspector: Inspect and verify all incoming goods, materials, and components against specifications, drawings, and documentation. Ensure that the correct quality standards, part numbers, and certifications are in place. Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformities with received items. Maintain accurate records and support inventory and logistics teams to resolve quality issues. Mechanical Inspector: Perform detailed inspections of mechanical components and assemblies, using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometres, callipers, CMM, 3D Scanner). Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure components meet the required tolerances and design standards. Measure mechanical parts to confirm that they meet functionality and safety criteria. Document inspection results, identify defects, and report non-conformances, providing support to engineering teams for corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for all mechanical parts. What we need from you: Experience : Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in mechanical inspection or goods-in processes within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Technical Skills : Proficiency in using mechanical inspection tools and equipment (e.g., callipers, micrometres, height gauges). Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify defects, discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members and suppliers.
