Strode College has a rare and exciting opportunity for an Engineering/Construction Technician. The role will include working 1-to-1 with students alongside the tutors during practical sessions, as well as ordering and preparing materials, maintaining equipment and work areas, and assisting in demonstrations. It will also involve providing workshop support to teachers, students, and apprentices to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. Completing and updating Health & Safety Risk Assessments and records is also a key responsibility.

You will need to be organised and ideally have experience of working in the engineering industry with manual machines and tools (lathes, mills, etc.), and have an understanding and awareness of welding. As a technician in our engineering and construction department, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students and apprentices. Contractual Details

Rate of Pay or Salary: £23,086 - £23,446 per annum.

Working Time: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Permanent

Pension: LGPS

Leave entitlement: 29 days per year plus bank holidays and additional discretionary leave at Christmas.
