Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a Machine Setter Operator to work in their leading facility in Telford.

For the successful Machine Setter Operator, our client is offering:

Starting salary of £31,605 which rises as experience/competence are signed off; if you can run all processes, it can rise to £41,220. 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights, 05:55 - 18:05/17:55 - 06:05. Permanent role. 28 days holiday. Health cash plan after a year's service. Free Parking. Pension - Auto enrolment.

As a Machine Setter Operator, your responsibilities will be:

Operating large machinery. Checking settings. Ensuring products meet the standard for quality. Running the plant to standard operating procedures, which includes start-ups and changeovers. Liaising with plant development teams for improvement on standards. Maintaining records on an hourly/daily basis, completing gap analysis. Ensuring observable standards are achieved for the line. Ensuring safe working practices. Supporting training of process staff. Any other duties/projects that are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post holder.

What our client is looking for in a Machine Setter Operator:

Must have proven experience operating large machinery - ESSENTIAL. Proven experience quality checking products - ESSENTIAL. Must have a strong understanding of the principles of quality assurance - ESSENTIAL. Experience within a food manufacturing environment - PREFERRED. Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Must be observant and have strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent punctuality and attendance.
