818GRE Buildings Construction Manager Hinkley Point C, Somerset Full time, Long-term contract, Site based £350 - £525 per day dependant on pay route (inside IR35) Job title: Construction Delivery Manager – Buildings (Mechanical, Electrical) Vacancy Overview: Hinkley Point C is a nuclear site, based in West Somerset, 15 miles from Bridgwater. The NNB ambition is to build two major EPR nuclear plants, and the position will be part of HPC site construction team. Due to the scale of this project, the programme duration and the immovable completion date, the building biased Construction Manager should have experience in consistently delivering projects, safely, to right quality and on time. The Construction Manager will support activities in the field relating to the construction of a building facility based on site. It includes day to day on site supervision and direction of the works to safely and efficiently deliver the project. Key Responsibilities Support the contract partners in their delivery of mechanical and electrical works packages to enable efficient delivery of the of their sections of works. Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. review of documents, assurance audits, etc. Monitor works on site record findings in a construction daily site log, ensuring information is reported up through the organisation to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager. Escalate any issues/concerns via detailed reports. Experience Required Experience and knowledge in delivering large, complexed building projects including construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation. Delivery of building structures and services in in highly regulated environments advantages Good understanding of the post holder’s obligations under the CDM Regulations. Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience. SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder. Experience of operating in a high security environment is advantageous. Salary £350 - £525 dependant on pay route (inside IR35, PAYE or Umbrella options) You will be working on a long-term contract with the chance to work on one of the country’s premier construction project.
