Purged back pipe welding on sch 10 st. st. pipe producing a root and cap weld in a single run in-line with Work Instruction 46 and 55 up to an ASME IX standard. Fabricated box and tubular structures in-line with BS9606 – 1 & 2. General MIG applications on MS structures. General fabrication and fettling work. Identification of the welders work will be through the use of a unique stamp i.d. Scheduled test pieces will be completed and examined by a third party to ensure welding meets standard requirements and welder approvals can be maintained via employer and external validation. Observe the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures, and execute duties as required by this policy. The jobholder will hold responsibility for his / her own safety and other people’s, and shall co-operate by complying with the company’s safety rules. Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
Ability to read, understand, and produce work to general engineering drawings. Experience in the use of general engineering equipment. Ability to perform and honestly monitor/inspect throughput and refer work for concession/remedial work to supervision if required. Argon back purging on stainless pipework welding to ASME IX standard. Ability to weld with and without jig and fixture arrangements. Rewards:
