Machinist Cheddar Salary Dependent on Experience Our client is a leading electromechanical service provider. Due to expansion, they are recruiting for a Machinist to join their busy team! Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:

Read and work from CAD drawings, determining appropriate machine settings to operate lathes and mills. Use precision measuring tools to take measurements for cutting, shaping, and for inspecting completed components. Complete calculations quickly, such as dimensions and tolerances of material. Identify need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs. Maintain safe operation of equipment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Be available for call out shift or overtime as directed by the Workshop Manager. The ideal Machinist will:

Have proven experience in an engineering/manufacturing background. Have experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly. Have knowledge of speeds and feeds. Be able to read blueprints and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and vernier. Have knowledge of safety protocols and PPE. Have experience using a variety of materials e.g. steel, aluminium, and plastic. Possess good literacy and maths skills.
