We are seeking a

Quantity Surveyor

to join our team in Swindon, responsible for the robust commercial management of a variety of projects under the Wales & Western Stations and Buildings Work Contract for Control Period 7 (CP7). This framework, covering 2024 to 2029, includes maintenance and renewals of canopies, buildings, depots, platform structures, car parks, and subways. You'll play a key role in the delivery of this contract, ensuring successful project outcomes compliant with contractual terms and business plan commitments.

What You'll Do

Manage all project costs in accordance with contractual agreements. Oversee financial performance, ensuring profit targets and efficiency savings are met. Administer change control processes and adhere to contractual timescales. Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively. Deliver compliant procurement processes and manage the supply chain. Handle commercial queries and advise on legal matters, including disputes. Monitor project progress, conduct site visits, and maintain financial logs and forecasts. Prepare and attend monthly cost review meetings, identifying variations and actions. Ensure compliance with Octavius' and clients' assurance processes and legislative requirements. Work with project teams, clients, and suppliers, fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration. You'll Receive

About You

You should work independently, manage conflicting priorities, and have strong organisational and analytical skills.

You'll Bring

Proven success in a Quantity Surveying role. Experience in a civil engineering environment. NEC Contracts experience. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
