Paint Sprayer We have a great new opportunity for a paint sprayer to work at a large factory just Northwest of London. This company is a global market leader within the aerospace/defence sector. The role involves rotating shift work of 6am-2pm and 1.45pm-10pm on rotating weeks. Salary is £37,000-£40,000. There are great additional benefits including: 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays. The role involves: Checking and cleaning surfaces before applying a variety of sprayed finishes (i.e., gloss, matt, primer, and topcoats) to components using a hand spray gun, ensuring that coatings are applied to the technical specification. Setting and operating the oven to the required temperature and durations, ensuring batch traceability of paint. Masking detail components to drawing/specifications using tapes, plastic plugs, and bungs as required. After paint spraying, unmasking components, checking paint surfaces for damage or omissions, and removing all tapes, plugs, and bungs with scalpels and probes, touching in any damage as required. Inspecting the painted finish by visual and automated techniques, measuring paint thickness and gloss level to ensure conformance. Operating and maintaining equipment and machinery, including flushing out pumps and checking settings. Cleaning and re-lining the paint booth and disposing of waste in accordance with procedures. Providing pots of touch-up paint/coverings as required. Conducting stock checks and maintaining correct stock levels on SAP. Ensuring PPE/RPE is maintained and completing periodic checks.
