Senior Process Engineer – Silicon Carbide Etch

Contributing to the success of Vishay through working together with the Engineering and Production team members to develop advanced processes and solutions for the power devices. As Senior Process Engineer Silicon Carbide Etch, you will work with a talented team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and qualification of semiconductor SiC wafer fabrication processes. Job Location:

This position is located in Newport, UK. What you will be doing: Develop new wafer process modules with a focus on plasma etching for SiC wafers. Execute major process development and/or integration tasks and build up products. Maintain and improve process modules including design rules, structural and electrical specifications. Design critical experiments and analyze data. Lead process module development or optimization projects. Identify, quantify key etching module deficiencies/technology gaps, and drive cross-functional teams to address. Assist in the transfer of a new technology from R&D to manufacturing ramp and qualification. Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers. What you will bring along: Master’s or B.Sc degree in Semiconductor Device Physics or Semiconductor Technology and/or Microelectronics. Ph.D is preferred. Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience. Knowledge of semiconductor devices and industrial semiconductor technology. Hands-on experience in wafer fab process module developments on etching equipment. Experience with SiC wafer fabrication processes. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form through technical presentations and technical reports. Teamwork approach. Self-motivated, results-oriented with high commitment to quality.
