We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in corporate law to join our team. What you’ll be responsible for:
Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Conduct thorough due diligence investigations for corporate transactions, identifying potential risks and advising clients on mitigation strategies. Handle litigation issues such as disputes or claims, representing the client in court when necessary. Ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Manage a portfolio of clients, provide tailored legal solutions and maintain strong client relationships. Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm’s corporate practice. Keep abreast of changes in corporate law and regulations and ensure that all processes adhere to current best practices and standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to corporate transactions and client interactions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Build up and run your own caseload of files. Manage a small team of Legal Assistants. Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by your line manager or Director. What we’re looking for:
Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate. Minimum of 5 years of PQE in corporate law. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases and clients simultaneously. In-depth knowledge of corporate law and regulatory requirements. Proven track record of managing complex corporate legal work. Experience in supervising junior legal staff. Strong business acumen and understanding of the corporate environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to network effectively to develop and expand the department.
