We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Science Technician to join our team and help support the technology needs of our clients. Job Description: As a Science Technician at Protocol Education, you will play a key role in supporting the technology infrastructure of the schools and educational institutions we work with. You will provide technical support, maintain systems, and ensure seamless day-to-day IT operations, ensuring that technology is effectively supporting teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site and remote technical support to schools and educational clients. Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems. Set up, configure, and deploy computer systems and peripherals. Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems, including networks and servers. Offer user support for staff and students, assisting with software and hardware issues. Conduct regular system checks, updates, and security patches. Assist in the setup and maintenance of audio-visual and classroom technologies. Document and track issues and resolutions, ensuring timely follow-up and completion. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Science Technician or in a similar IT support role. Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications. Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Experience with hardware setup, installation, and troubleshooting. Good understanding of networking, including LAN/WAN, routers, and firewalls. Ability to provide effective, clear communication to users with varying technical skill levels. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of IT security practices is desirable.
