Position Overview:
The Radwaste and Decommissioning Engineer will build strong a relationship with the US SMR Lead. The UK GDA is a critical element for commercial deployment of SMR-300 worldwide, and this role provides a unique opportunity in an exciting emerging technology and energy marketplace.
Experience should include:
Radioactive waste management and decommissioning.
Knowledge of the radioactive waste management lifecycle.
Radiological dose modelling, radionuclide characterisation, automation, robotics and other nuclear waste treatment technology.
Performing environmental permitting and assessment requirements (BAT, BPM).
Knowledge of integrated waste management, decommissioning waste management planning and radioactive contaminated land remediation.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree qualified in an engineering or science related discipline.
Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities.
Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.
