(Regional coverage) Electrical Services part of PTSG provide specialist electrical testing services, to occupied premises. Whether it’s a school, hospital, office block, retail unit or Industrial unit our job is to ensure all fixed wiring, switch gear or control equipment tested meet regulations and is safe to use. Our team of field engineers are the beating heart of our business, the unsung heroes and the face of the company. Without your hard work and professionalism, we couldn’t do what we do. As such we’ve created a commission structure that will allow you to really benefit from your hard work. Upon completion of your daily minimum circuits, you will begin to be paid a premium for each one thereafter. We’ve plenty of work available, so for those looking to maximize their earnings we could be the ideal employer. Last year £12k annual bonus was just the average, so imagine what our higher earners were getting. You will need to be willing to put in the effort – but the rewards are there to be earned. The role: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Tester to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments. Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment. Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards. Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions. Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices. Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice. Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field. City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing. NVQ Level 3. 18th Edition. In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes. Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location). What We Offer: To £36k Basic salary. Commission (Ave £12k per annum).
