What you’ll be doing: You will be overseeing incident management and resolving any SAP incidents relating to SAP PP solutions using ITIL frameworks and processes. Manage the requirements analysis and understand the implications of requests for change coming in from the end user community while working with the business and key stakeholders to ensure that requirements are adequately understood & documented. Be responsible for change management and the development of functional specifications, including the delivery of SAP PP configurations to support the change, working with both internal and external partners during the build and throughout the testing stage prior to deployment. On larger projects, you will be working alongside functional consultants and developers from our partners to collaboratively deliver changes. Oversee the production of high-quality documentation (Functional specifications principally and also reviewing project delivered documents). Engage with your user community to foster great partnerships. Be the key data quality custodian across the function.

Your skills and experiences: You will need to have current knowledge of SAP PP principles and practice (ECC or S/4) as our team is currently operating on SAP S/4 Version 22 SP01. Have good experience of a wide range of SAP project lifecycles in a Lead/Senior Technical/Consultant role, ideally in complex regulated environments (e.g. Defence, Nuclear, Pharma, Banking) and with this, have the ability to work as part of a cross-functional delivery team. Be able to produce high-quality functional specifications and work collaboratively with functional teams and developers to build, test and ultimately support those developments. Knowledge and experience of SAP Fiori apps in the PP area (complementing the GUI experience).

The ERP Competency Centre team: Our team sits within the wider IT function and supports circa 12,500 SAP Users currently. You will be working very closely with an immediate team of SAP Functional support and subject matter experts to support the business with all areas of focus relating to SAP in our live environment.
