Dual Skilled Technician (Electrically Biased) Contract role Inside IR35 Crewe Shift role - 4 on 4 off / 5 on 5 off pattern Days : 0700 - 1900 (1700 for 10 hours) Nights 1900 - 0700 (0500 for 10 hours) Principal Accountabilities Undertake train maintenance of the rolling stock fleet at an Outstations location (Arriva Traincare Facility - Crewe) and carry out associated activities that support the operation of the fleet and working environment in a safe way adhering to health and safety requirements, defined processes and regulations. Implement safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility. Carry out download diagnosis and fault finding to an intermediate level. Provision of technical support at incidents off-site (Main Line) as required. Comply with the controls listed in risk assessments and PPE requirements in the VMI. Qualifications, Experience & Technical Know-How Experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment. Experience of basic fault finding. Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures. Ability to understand and care for tools, equipment and PPE. Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio hazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications. Ability to use a laptop for diagnostic, fault finding and rectification purposes.
