£43,912.80 pa (inclusive of 35% holiday bonus for 33 days per year; 25 vacation & 8 bank holidays) plus shift rate of 27.5 % GPW Recruitment are partnering with Ford Halewood Transmissions Ltd (FHTL) in Halewood to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Skilled Craftsman (Heat Treat Department) to work in their existing site during a huge transformation. Ford is investing £230m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units and it will be the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe, in 2024 with a capacity of 420,000 units. Qualifications and Experience required:
Completed Mechanical Level 4 Apprenticeship Preferably have experience in heat treat production environment working on high temperature carburising furnaces. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and carry out preventive maintenance actions on machines and associated equipment. Including all electrical, PLC, refrigeration and mechanical functions. Collate data from preventive maintenance actions and analyse information to plan required item replacement and overhaul. Overhaul machine parts wherever possible to avoid the need to buy new. Identify and carry out machine improvement actions to improve performance/OEE improvements. Focus on identifying and implementing root cause fixes for breakdowns. Schedule maintenance improvements and 5 why generation - continuous improvements. Kaizen activities; safety, environment, cost reductions. Stand in analyst role when required. On Offer:
Salary of £43,912.80 pa (inclusive of 35% holiday bonus for 33 days per year; 25 vacation & 8 bank holidays) plus a shift rate of £27.5% Hours of work are on a 7 day continuous shift pattern: Shifts work in an eight-week cycle with an average of 42 hours worked per week. This includes days and night shifts (2 days, followed by 2 nights and then 4 days off).
