Escape Recruitment is working with our client in Livingston, a growing food manufacturing company, to recruit a

Process Engineer

for their innovative and expanding team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development and scale-up of industrial production processes in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: As a Process Engineer, you will: Support the development of a new manufacturing site. Identify and implement strategies to optimise production processes and reduce costs. Plan, execute, and analyse experiments, reporting results effectively. Collaborate with external design and engineering firms. Assist in developing process designs and optimising selected designs. Lead projects related to production scale-up and process improvements. Address plant issues and coordinate solutions. Supervise and mentor team members. Promote a safe, hygienic working environment, adhering to health, safety, and food quality standards. Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate will have: A degree or HND in Mechanical or Process Engineering. 3–5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, including supervisory roles. Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Principles. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of Health & Safety principles. IT proficiency and a hands-on, proactive attitude. Desirable but not essential: Background or qualifications in Health & Safety, Food Safety, or Hygiene (e.g., HACCP, IOSH).
