Panel wirer / panel wiring position available for an engineering company based near Cheltenham. Paying self-employed rates of circa £16.00 per hour and £24.00 per hour for overtime hours. PAYE rates of £12.17 for standard hours and £18.26 per hour for overtime. This will be long-term contract work.
You will be working as part of a small team. The key requirement is to assemble and wire the electrical control panels that are used across the Company's product range. Panel wirers will also be required to complete upgrades, repairs, and testing of the range of systems that are used.
We're looking for a wireman / wire person / electrical assembler with an open-minded approach to solving electrical fault finding. Good electrical or electronic skills are required. Proficient use of power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand various systems, is necessary. Experience with electrical components and wiring techniques is required, as well as the ability to lay out electrical components according to design wiring diagrams.

To be able to follow electrical schematics. Electrical assembly and panel wiring. Able to install electrical components and pre-drill electrical enclosures as set out in the drawings. Competent in testing equipment such as multi-meters.
