Experienced Architectural Technician required to join a premium House Builder based at their modern headquarters in Doncaster.

Our client is an established premium Home Builder with exciting growth plans owing to multiple new sites across the Yorkshire and Midlands regions. Buying and living in one of their homes is something unique for their customers. They take more care, they have more choice, and their developments are designed to be different. A big part of this is getting the technical information right, from planning submission to completion. They need someone with an eye for detail and great communication skills.

The Architectural Technician will work as part of the product & design team focusing on the production and coordination of technical working drawing packages and associated details for tender purposes and construction.

Working closely with other departments in the business along with external consultants and suppliers, your role will be to ensure all information is accurate and as required for the business. You'll apply your experience of residential construction and knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation to smooth the path from site acquisition to the operational team, making sure every detail is just right.

Responsibilities of the Architectural Technician

Managing the external supply chain for third-party details such as heating, ventilation, trusses, joists, staircases to ensure effective delivery Working with consultants to an agreed programme for SAP calculations & Part O assessments Managing & maintaining business standard details Maintaining existing Revit models to agreed BIM standards Responding to site queries and resolving technical/construction issues Managing the NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval including type approvals where necessary Ensuring that working drawings are in accordance with the approved planning scheme Working with the Commercial Department to monitor and manage costs and budgets Ensuring our customer-facing materials are technically compliant

Skills and Experience Required for the Architectural Technician

Competent AutoCAD & REVIT user Computer literate with all Microsoft Office packages Understanding of residential building design & construction Previous experience within an Architectural Practice / developer background At least 5-10 years of experience as an Architectural Technician / Technologist operating at a Senior level A good understanding of planning and building regulations and associated legislation connected with the construction industry

Salary & Benefits

Your salary reviewed each year starting at between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum. Annual company bonus scheme.
