Be aware of budgets and capital projects. Carrying out effective maintenance and repair on machinery and services, adhering to preventative plans, lost time reports, breakdown reports, completion of daily operating reports, and daily review of engineers' timesheets. Carrying out effective maintenance and services of the buildings internally and externally when required. Ensure that machinery and services are maintained to meet individual departments' requirements, utilising the most appropriate and efficient maintenance regime and reporting faults to the Engineering Supervisor immediately. Operating department machinery and resources in the correct manner adhering to Health & Safety and food hygiene at all times. Suggesting improvements to work practices, machinery operation, and services to improve plant operating efficiency. Effective implementation of accepted changes to working practices, contributing continuously to improvement programmes when required. Utilise departmental resources efficiently such as labour and machinery. Work with external contractors to achieve effective and efficient maintenance and service of machinery and buildings when required. Report to supervisor any contractor discovered not working in the best interests of the company regarding safety and hygiene. Keep your work area clean and free from debris, spillages, and contamination at all times. Carry out a 'clean as you go' policy. Report any health and safety, food hygiene, or quality issues to your supervisor immediately. Ensure that shift changeovers are carried out efficiently and effectively. Communicate effectively and accurately any information about usage and wastage to the stores team. Ensure the daily workload is achieved, as set by the Supervisor/Manager. Perform any other tasks and duties as requested by your supervisor/manager. Willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks and duties that are not 'usually' performed day to day, required for business reasons. Liaise and communicate effectively with colleagues and departments. Attend meetings with team and supervisor when required. It is your responsibility as a member of the ABP Doncaster team to ensure that you fully understand, comply, and adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures at all times. If you hold a suitable license, assist with any forklift or reach truck duties required within any department. Consider working reasonable overtime as requested by your supervisor/manager. Attend training courses that are relevant and appropriate to your tasks and duties, as requested by your supervisor/manager. Knowledge and Experience

18th Edition or equivalent Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A clear and strong idea of how to drive continuous improvement across the factory. Must be proactive to complete scheduled work plans, start-up checks, etc. in a timely manner. Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner. Organisation skills with a 'clean as you go' approach. Safety-first awareness. Resilient and effective execution. Working with colleagues to do what’s best for the company. Skills

Good communication skills are paramount to this role. Organised and assertive. Able to use their own initiative. Self-motivated and able to develop an excellent knowledge of products.
