Please note the employer for this position is The QUEST Trust, not Wigan Council Salary: QUEST Grade E, £26,286 - £28,538 per annum. 36.25 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks working 42 weeks per year. QUEST Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional PE Specialist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team to work collaboratively across 2 of our primary schools in Hindley/Hindley Green. In this role, you will be responsible for further developing the quality and breadth of Physical Education and competitive sport across the schools of the Trust, inspiring and engaging all young people in sporting activity and healthy lifestyles. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Early Years, key stage 1 and key stage 2 Physical Education to the highest possible standard, as agreed with the Heads, within the framework of the National Curriculum and whole school policies and requirements. Ensure that the teaching and learning in lessons is of a consistently high quality. Take a professional approach to the preparation and organisation of lessons and activities. Maintain high expectations of pupils/students and ensure that teaching approaches and materials are commensurate with their capability, so that the optimum standard of achievement and progress is reached. Set up, organise and run extra-curricular activities and out of school clubs across our schools. Requirements:

Extensive experience in delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons. Proven track record of successfully developing and leading extra-curricular sports programmes. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with pupils, parents, and the wider school community. Why Join QUEST?
