We're hiring for Lead Support Workers in Devizes. Could you help someone to live a full life? Join Brandon as a Lead Support Worker, where you'll provide excellent day-to-day support to individuals with exceptionally complex needs, helping them to overcome barriers. Key to this role is respecting people's preferences and choices and enabling their fullest participation in the life of their community as valued citizens. As part of a supportive team, you'll need resilience to support individuals whose behaviour may be considered challenging. The support you'll provide will be centred around each person's values, preferences, and needs, which could include developing daily living skills, accessing a wider community, personal care, and medication needs. Benefits: Sleep-ins paid at £60 extra (basic salary £13.39 p/h) Ongoing training and career development including professional qualifications Contributory pension We cover the cost of DBS checks Rota's are planned in advance Access to Wagestream where you can track your basic salary and additional hours earnings throughout the month and access a portion of those earnings before your monthly pay date Shopping discounts including Blue Light card, EE perks, and Costco membership Successfully 'recommend a friend' to join us and you'll receive a thank-you payment Access to wellbeing helplines Health Cash Plan You will: Be a confident problem solver and creative thinker with good communication skills Have resilience to overcome challenges Possess a positive can-do attitude Be an innovative problem solver willing to try new activities Have experience working with people with a learning disability, including supporting people whose behaviour may be considered challenging (desirable) Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams Previous management experience is desirable but not essential Hold a Diploma in health and social care level 2 or equivalent (level 3 is desirable) Hold a full UK driving licence Your responsibilities: Support the individuals in all aspects of their daily life, enabling their fullest participation in the life of their community Support people to achieve their personal outcomes Be assigned area(s) of lead responsibility; for example, autism, personality disorder, speech and language, positive behaviour management, psychiatry, or health Liaise with external professionals and devise support plans and risk assessments relating to your lead area Communicate this specialist knowledge to colleagues to produce a coherent and integrated package of support In the future, you may line manage support workers Brandon Trust works alongside people of different abilities so they can create opportunity and feel empowered to live the life they want. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service. Successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
