Key to this role is respecting people's preferences and choices and enabling their fullest participation in the life of their community as valued citizens. As part of a supportive team, you'll need resilience to support individuals whose behaviour may be considered challenging. The support you'll provide will be centred around each person's values, preferences, and needs, which could include developing daily living skills, accessing a wider community, personal care, and medication needs.
