Job Description

We are recruiting a Site Supervisor to be based at our customer's site, Barrow-in Furness. You will be embedded as a Site Supervisor, providing dedicated support to the maintenance and service of our customers' cranes. You will work with a team of customer engineers and staff to ensure that all equipment is at 100% availability according to the needs of their business. In addition, you will supervise site operatives as well as sub-contractors, and you will be involved in the customer consultation process, spot audits, quality control and safety, providing technical support and direction. You will report to the Operations Manager. Your main responsibilities will include: You will supervise all Konecranes activities performed at the specific customer site as and when required. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes. You will perform safety inspections alongside insurance inspectors. You will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. You will raise defects and source parts through Konecranes. You will consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues. Identify onsite sales leads and equipment improvement opportunities. You will complete appropriate maintenance records, reports, and documentation. Organise site planned shutdowns liaising with the customer to maximise planned downtime and optimise uptime. Be in regular communication with the Branch scheduler and Tech Coordinator to ensure that the allocated contracted hours are in line with the maintenance agreement, thus maximising the margins. What we are looking for in you: You must be apprentice-trained or equivalent and fully conversant with electrical engineering disciplines. Good mechanical knowledge. Possess a LEEA qualification or similar. Willingness to work rostered day shifts. Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written). Strong interpersonal skills as there is extensive customer contact. Proven commitment to safety.
