Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Oldmeldrum, Inverurie, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating various metal components and structures according to blueprints and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate and weld metal components and structures
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, tape measures, and marking tools
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
- Fabricate and assemble structural metal products
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws, cracks, and other imperfections
- Repair and maintain metal components and structures as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a welder/fabricator
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
