Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4pm, Friday 7:30am - 3pm We're supporting our client, a leading global injection moulding company based in Dudley, who are looking for a Toolmaker to join their growing team. The successful Toolmaker will have previous toolroom/machine shop experience, as well as be conversant with all conventional toolroom machinery (lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.) Position Overview:
As a Toolmaker, you'll be responsible for completing all repairs, improvements and modifications on current tooling/jigs and fixtures in a timely manner to meet drawing specifications, completing insert changes on tools as instructed by Supervisor and requested by Production, and working with tool setters to address and resolve tooling concerns. Responsibilities for Toolmaker:
Operate all tool room machinery in line with training received, TD guidelines and manufacturers' recommendations to produce tooling as requested. Produce all jigs, fixtures and tooling to drawing requirements. Provide Engineering support and be proactive in providing solutions to issues and identifying improvements to moulding and assembly processes. Be part of continuous improvement teams. Other duties as may be necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of this position. About You:
Conversant with all conventional Toolroom machinery (lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.) Previous Toolroom/machine shop experience essential CNC experience an advantage but not essential Spark Erosion experience an advantage but not essential CAD CAM experience an advantage but not essential Must be able to work to tight tolerances Knowledge of Injection Moulding Tooling desirable Ability to work and fit into a small close-knit team essential Be accountable Have a positive attitude Establish long lasting working relationships cross functionally Have empathy and understanding for colleagues Focus on customer requirements Be clear and concise in delivering information Job Application:
