So, what will you do?
Carry out plating operations following work instructions
Read drawings to ensure that steel is cut to specification
Accurately assemble and ensure that plating is carried out to spec
Cut and prepare plates / sections
Tack welding
Assemble fabrication work to pass to welders for final assembly
Work with inspections and quality teams
Support training of apprentices and new employees

Time served through a recognised training programme, such as an apprenticeship
Competency in reading and understanding engineering drawings
Competency with equipment, someone who continually trains to meet trade requirements
A passion for meeting and exceeding customer requirements
Efficiency and productivity with a focus on achieving targets
Willingness to take on new challenges to develop competency
