Are you ready to use your skills on a variety of exciting projects, from repairs to construction, in the commercial and military sectors? We have a pipeline of work to keep you busy for years ahead! It’s a great opportunity for a time served plater, someone who prides themselves on the quality and precision of their work who is looking for a fresh challenge. So, what will you do? Carry out plating operations following work instructions Read drawings to ensure that steel is cut to specification Accurately assemble and ensure that plating is carried out to spec Cut and prepare plates / sections Tack welding Assemble fabrication work to pass to welders for final assembly Work with inspections and quality teams Support training of apprentices and new employees And what are we looking for? Time served through a recognised training programme, such as an apprenticeship Competency in reading and understanding engineering drawings Competency with equipment, someone who continually trains to meet trade requirements A passion for meeting and exceeding customer requirements Efficiency and productivity with a focus on achieving targets Willingness to take on new challenges to develop competency Why join us?
