A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for experienced fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be working on domestic and commercial projects, carrying out new installations, upgrades, and maintenance works to existing doors and frames. The works will be South Wales based and will cover multiple areas with a large housing association. Occasional travel further afield may be required.
The successful candidate will have:
At least two years of experience working with fire doors
A strong background in carpentry and joinery
Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
Training and knowledge of FIRAS standards
Experience installing fire doors and frames
Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
Experience working on social housing FRA contracts
Own van/transport to carry materials
Roles and responsibilities:
Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
Complete works in line with the manufacturer's specification
Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
Liaise with customers and members of the general public

£200.00 - £220.00 per day based on 8 hours worked
Mileage, parking, congestion charges all reimbursed weekly
