A leading construction contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Livingston.
The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial requirements of regional new build construction projects covering the education and healthcare sectors.
Key duties will include:
Delivering day-to-day commercial activities including measurement and valuation of works in progress, pricing variations, design cost control, and value engineering.
Preparing draft subcontracts, and managing the ongoing performance of subcontractors, highlighting any issues to senior staff.
Assisting with the compilation of data to be presented in monthly and quarterly reports to clients and senior stakeholders.
Supervising junior commercial staff, mentoring them and aiding their commercial development.
Interfacing with clients and senior internal stakeholders attending meetings to discuss project progress, as well as day-to-day interaction with operational site teams.
Participating in the settlement of main contract final accounts.

Strong experience of procuring and managing subcontracts, and an ability to negotiate with clients and subcontractors. Relevant quantity surveying degree.
