Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating excavators for various construction and earthmoving tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely, adhering to all operational guidelines. The role holder must be flexible and able to work away from home, undertake duties at night and be able to do overtime when necessary. Responsibilities Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, and grading tasks on construction sites. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to determine excavation requirements. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site. Communicate effectively with ground crew to ensure precise digging and movement of materials. Assist in loading and unloading materials from lorries as required. Skills Proven experience as an Excavator Operator or similar role in the construction industry. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for precise operation of machinery. Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures on-site. Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues. Multi skilled in aspects of civils works. NPORS / CPCS training in Excavators/Dupers/Rollers. CSCS Operative Card. 360 excavator operator with Lifting ops. Benefits Company vehicle, fuel card and PPE are all provided. Pension Scheme.
