Are you an experienced assistant quantity surveyor looking to grow your career within a respected, RICS-regulated firm?

My client is a specialized consultancy providing high-quality estimating and quantity surveying services to subcontractors and main contractors.

Our team supports both general civil and rail engineering projects across northwest England and Ireland, and we're expanding due to continued growth.

Why Work With Us?

Diverse Project Exposure:

You'll work with multiple clients across different sectors, offering an experience far beyond what a large-scale contractor can provide. One-on-One Mentorship:

You'll receive hands-on training directly from our lead surveyor, enhancing your skills in estimating, programming, and contract management. Career Development:

We provide access to external consultants for contract and measurement training and support your RICS qualification pathway, with the opportunity to work under a registered RICS counselor.

What We're Looking For:

As an RICS-regulated firm, we prioritize trustworthiness and confidentiality, protecting our clients' sensitive information.

We seek someone who can tailor solutions to meet the unique requirements of our clients. Enthusiasm is key; you should be willing to expand your knowledge across civil and rail engineering sectors, apply insights to client problems, and continuously improve.

Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of estimating or quantity surveying experience in the UK civil engineering sector is required. Rail sector experience is advantageous. You should be comfortable managing your own workload from project inception through final account stages, with support available as needed. Familiarity with ICC, CECA, NEC, and NR contracts, as well as standard methods of measurement (CESMM, RMM, HWMM, SMM, NRM), is essential. Experience with Causeway estimating software is a plus. A strong understanding of the UK construction sector, with the ability to create methodology and program documents, is required. The role requires site and client office visits, so you must hold a valid UK driving license.

What We Offer: Full support and training in estimating software and methodology, with your own estimating license and programming tools after the probation period. Direct mentorship from an RICS counselor to support your career growth and RICS qualifications. Work closely with a senior surveyor who brings extensive experience and is committed to your development.
