Job Title Major Accounts Manager Job Category Sales Job Description Primary Purpose To grow market share through business development across prospective national and pan European accounts. To manage and develop existing accounts. To identify, prospect, pursue and close competitive strategic sales opportunities, actively managing the rollout and further penetration of these accounts. To develop and implement a process to efficiently participate and respond to national tenders. Key Accountabilities Annual target revenue, profit, and unit. Pipeline growth/prospective sales opportunities. Manage and secure existing accounts. Meet and fulfill customer expectations and applications. Manage, coordinate, and follow the tender process. Identify, develop, and bring new accounts into contract. Build internal and external relations through sales support, GE Finance, dealers, and aftermarket to influence support and maximize sales. Knowledge & Skills Required Business Management - BS/BA Degree or equivalent. Knowledge of complex solution selling and a structured sales approach. Product, application, and industry knowledge. Professional sales experience involving major accounts or corporations with proven results; significant work experience in senior sales within a manufacturing/international environment. Creative and persistent business development skills. Prospecting and negotiation with multiple points of influence (personal selling). Presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience responding to tender requests at a national and pan European level.
