Working with the tendering team to manage the preparation of all technical, financial, cash flow and operational delivery aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
Identify potential risks and opportunities in contract agreements across customers/channels.
Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and evaluate supplier offers to match with specifications in collaboration with Supply Chain Management.
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Provide any necessary technical support to Sales Managers during meetings with customers.
Work across different business streams, cultures and countries. Your success will depend heavily on your ability to network and build relationships with people from all parts of the organisation, UK and overseas.
Visiting customer sites performing face to face sales meetings and site surveys.
Identify client requirements, liaising with internal and external suppliers with close liaison with Sales, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Planning, Engineering and Commercial functions.
Background: Proven sales experience focused on new business generation with a strong track record of winning new customers is essential.
Experience selling services rather than products.
Recognised engineering qualification minimum HNC is preferred.
High Voltage (HV) and (400kV–132kV) and MV (66kV-11kV) knowledge and Industrial substation experience is preferred.
Sound communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to priorities and work to deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and work on your own initiative.
Good PC skills including but not limited to, Office365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
