Job Description: Pharmacy Counter Sales Assistant Job Roles: Operating tills and handling sale transactions accurately. Accepting prescriptions for filling, gathering and processing necessary information. Greeting, serving, and offering correct advice to customers in a polite and friendly manner. Learning about and informing customers on all health and associated products including over-the-counter medication, minor ailments, and services offered by the Pharmacy. Actively selling products and meeting targets using appropriate selling techniques and merchandising. Maintaining displays and re-stocking shelves when necessary. Developing good practice of stock control to include stock rotation. Ordering stock, unpacking deliveries, checking dispatch notes, and reporting shortages. Dealing with customer complaints effectively. Communicating and working effectively alongside other staff members. Handling telephone enquiries and giving advice while referring callers to the pharmacist when necessary. Keeping the shop and staff areas clean and tidy. Maintaining a safe work environment. Other duties as required. Other: This job description is neither exhaustive nor exclusive. The post holder is required to carry out any duties that may reasonably be requested by the Pharmacy Manager. Some of the above duties may be delegated.
