Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician

to join our team working on a weekday nightshift. In this role you will play a pivotal role in the production and preparation of laminating kits and inserts for our Composite production departments. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced environment, and you will work closely with our composite production areas, ply-book and logistics teams, to ensure kits and inserts are processed in compliance with production processes and quality procedures. Key Responsibilities: Perform insert etch processing to prepare components for use in composite manufacturing. Operate chemical etching and vapour blast equipment. Operate Zund cutting table and SigmaNest. Reverse engineer laminators' templates using Sigma-NEST digitising software. Process and optimise Fibersim 2D DXFS files. Book in/out materials using inventory software packages. Process supporting manufacturing documentation. Maintain batch, out-life, and shelf-life records aligned to FIFO inventory best practices. Ensure accurate stock control and traceability of all material movements. Maintain department/freezer housekeeping and organisation aligned to 5S principles. Perform daily maintenance and checks of key department equipment. Qualifications: Experience within a similar environment is desirable. GCSE/A levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using PC and related software. Skilled in interpreting engineering and plybook drawings. Exceptional attention to detail. Effective team player with strong collaboration skills. Highly adaptable and able to thrive in dynamic environments. Please note this role is working on a nightshift Monday to Thursday 18.15 to 04.45.
