Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to step into the position of a Trade Office Trainee for our Doorsets and Ironmongery divisions.
Key Skills:
Attentive with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Confident in receiving and making telephone calls. Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Organising paperwork. Excellent grammar skills. Comfortable with multi-tasking. Pro-active. Office/Trade counter experience desirable but not essential.
Job Requirements: Analysing information to provide a quote to contractors. Requesting additional information when required. Handling customer queries. Receiving/taking telephone calls. Some face-to-face contact with customers.
Full training will be provided. In this role, the person will learn and develop their skills alongside current staff and will be placed on various online courses which will be an introduction to Doorsets and Ironmongery. This will then lead into further education culminating in a Diploma course over a 2 - 3-year period once the introductory courses are completed.
Experience in the Construction industry would be preferable but not essential. During and after training, the individual must be able to: Pro-actively follow up on quotations keeping a record. Maintain relationships with current customers and develop new ones via cold call introductions. Receive and implement orders from Contractors. Place orders on our computer systems and ensure they are received in a timely manner to meet customer expectations. Pack products into orders and arrange shipment/collection. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Have an ongoing desire to develop and maintain product knowledge. Exceed customer expectations.
