Surveillance Engineer working on site at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater. As a Framatome mechanical surveillance engineer, you will join the EIRA team in charge of the surveillance of the manufacturing and installation of nuclear equipment for worldwide power plants. This is a rewarding experience that starts with comprehensive training and tutoring, aimed at ensuring compliance with contractual technical requirements, as well as the manufacturing and installation follow-up of equipment with the highest quality and safety standards. The surveillance engineer is a key player during the installation phases as an in-the-field Framatome representative. The surveillance engineer works closely with other Framatome departments (quality, installation, project, engineering, procurement, expediting, cost) to ensure the conformity of the manufacturing or installation activities and equipment on factories or construction sites. The EIRA team also provides an opportunity to develop technical skills on a wider range of equipment, such as pressure vessels, steam generators, pumps, valves, and instrumentation, offering worldwide experience opportunities. Framatome is looking for a mechanical engineer for the surveillance of the primary loop installation activities for the Hinkley Point EPR construction site. Main Responsibilities:

Ensure conformity to the purchase order requirements at each step of the key installation process, from reception to commissioning. Ensure the surveillance plan is respected. Review the Follow-up Documents and End of Installation reports. Verify the approval and completeness of the applicable technical documentation set (welding book, non-destructive testing procedures, installation procedures, etc.). Organize your own schedule of surveillance activities with the surveillance leader. Contribute to the treatment and closure of open points. Participate in progress meetings with installation, projects, suppliers, or customers. You are:

Key Skills and Experiences:

Knowledge of developed manufacturing processes (welding, foundry, forge, etc.). Knowledge of destructive (chemical or mechanical testing) and non-destructive testing (PT, UT, RT, EC, MT). Experience in quality fundamentals. Ability to read and understand technical engineering documents. Strong organizational skills. Capability to defend and explain observations. Critical and analytical mindset to identify deviations and contribute to their resolution. Autonomy in managing the on-site surveillance schedule or business trips. Additional Information:
