About the role: As a Void Carpenter, you are expected to have extensive knowledge of all aspects of property renovations. You need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent standards, and be willing to work hard to complete each project on time and within budget. You need to have a professional approach to the tenants and clients. Skills required are as follows: Must be able to plaster to a good standard including whole walls/ceilings. All aspects of plumbing are essential. Carpentry to a high standard. Tiling to a high standard. Polysafe Vinyl flooring to a good standard. Decorating to an acceptable standard. NHF SOR's. We are looking for a passionate Carpenter to join our rapidly expanding team to work within a busy repairs/voids team environment. Reporting individual job actions from site to ensure our clients receive high levels of service and satisfaction. Our housing teams provide rapid response and planned maintenance services for local authorities and registered providers, delivering in excess of 5,000 repairs every day to a growing portfolio of around 1,000,000 homes across the UK. We also provide a range of services to cover all areas of the housing sector, including regeneration, contact centre solutions, housing management, home improvement, facilities management, estate services, grounds maintenance, student accommodation, and new builds. Role Criteria: NVQ level 2/3 in Carpentry. Building experience with additional multi-skills including joinery, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating. Tiling experience. On-the-job experience. UK Full driving licence. All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK; Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
