We are currently looking for a Stock and Equipment Assistant to join our stores team at our Rochdale Hospital. About the role The role holder will be involved in receiving and recording stock into our Croft Shifa site in Rochdale and to deliver the stock to appropriate stock rooms and areas on site. The role holder will ensure safe packing of consumables and pharmacy items in time for our drivers to safely deliver to the mobile units. The role holder will also assist in coordinating equipment maintenance, scheduling and call outs when required and be involved in any projects that relate to consumables and equipment. Shifts for this role are Mon-Fri – from 10-3pm, however we may be flexible with the start times.

What you'll be doing The post holder will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Equipment management – liaising with Suppliers/Maintenance companies for servicing/callouts/repairs. Raising POs for these items as needed. Assist with ordering stock and pharmacy items when required (urgent/cover). Packing up stock (medical consumable and pharmacy items) for delivery to our mobile units or local yard each week. Helping the drivers load the stock into the delivery vehicle. Receive deliveries and put away stock – ensure stock has arrived and assist in chasing incomplete orders when required. Assist in ensuring par levels for stock are met. Ensuring all stock received is packed neatly onto the store room shelves according to a FIFO system. Stock counts and recording for month end. What we’ll look for in you Someone to ensure and assist in the continual supply of goods and services as required in the Practice Plus Group stores policy & matrix and local SOPs: Experience in stock management gained in a similar setting. Good communication both verbal and written. Customer care and varied “life skills”. Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates common sense, sensitivity, and empathy with people. Ability to work without close supervision and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
