We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. The Toolmaker will be responsible for repairing, modifying, and maintaining existing production tooling, as well as manufacturing jigs, fixtures, and new plastic injection mould tooling. The ideal candidate will ensure that all tools required for production are available when needed, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Principal Accountabilities

Planned Preventative Maintenance Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of plastic injection mould tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Improvement of Tooling Identify and implement improvements to existing tools to enhance production efficiency and quality. Safety Checks & Inspections Perform safety checks and inspections on all tooling to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Breakdown Resolution Quickly and effectively resolve and repair breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain workflow. Safety Compliance Work safely at all times, following company procedures and best practices to ensure a safe working environment. Resource Safeguarding Safeguard company resources by maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and reporting any issues promptly. Communication Communicate effectively with production teams and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on tooling requirements and production schedules. Collaboration with External Contractors Work with external contractors as necessary to support tooling projects and maintenance activities. Toolroom Stock Procurement Assist with procuring Toolroom stock, ensuring that necessary materials and supplies are available for ongoing projects. Maintenance Record Keeping Keep maintenance records up to date, documenting all servicing, repairs, and modifications performed on tooling. Teamwork and Initiative Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills while adhering to a shift pattern. Qualifications

Proven experience as a Toolmaker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould tooling and maintenance practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Shifts

Working hours are 6am-2pm = Early, 8.30am-4.30pm = Days, 2pm-10pm = Afternoon, and the pattern is DDEDA on a five-week pattern. No nights. Bank holidays off. Weekends off.
