Solar & Battery Storage Electricians - Maidstone
PETTIT Contracting’s renewable energy division- ‘Electric Avenues’ is a growing provider of renewable energy solutions, committed to delivering high-quality solar and wind installations on Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Projects. We are looking for skilled, self-employed Commercial & Industrial Electricians to join our team in Kent and help us in our mission to promote sustainable energy.
Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery storage units on commercial and industrial properties, including 3-phase warehouses and commercial buildings. Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for solar and battery installations. Design and plan electrical systems for solar and battery installations, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and standards. Connect solar panels and battery storage systems to the electrical grid and building electrical systems, including 3-phase power systems. Perform electrical wiring, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure systems are functioning correctly and safely. Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and engineers, to ensure efficient and timely installations. Provide excellent customer service, including explaining system operations and maintenance to clients. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities in compliance with the company’s MCS accreditation.
Requirements: Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 & Level 3 in Solar and Battery Storage installation, or equivalent). Experience in installing solar PV systems and battery storage units on commercial and industrial properties. Knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards, including BS 7671. Experience with 3-phase electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid UK driving license. Experience in Certification of solar PV installation via MCS system is preferred.
