What we can offer you: 25 days of annual leave Access to our company pension scheme Free physiotherapy service Discounts on everything from groceries to well-known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing: Provide shift coverage to ensure continuous ERF operation Assist Shift Team Leader in monitoring and operating plant from Central Control Room Coordinate control room operations for consistent power production and steam turbine operation Take immediate corrective action during emergencies to limit risks Monitor and control process parameters, raw materials usage, and environmental emissions Safely shut down and restart plant sections according to procedures Perform emergency operations during unit trips and abnormal conditions Carry out lockout-tagout isolations and understand applied risk hazards Ensure compliance with Environmental Permit and report non-compliance Conduct routine plant inspections, adjustments, and data collection What we're looking for: IT Literate An understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues would be an advantage Interested in mechanical & electrical plant with some experience of plant operations, ideally with experience as an Engineering role Appropriate NVQ for the duties of the post Experience gained through working in a continuous process environment, preferably with experience of working shifts Able to operate, or train to operate a variety of auxiliary and fixed plant Able to work a continuous rotating shift pattern, including adequate voluntary overtime to cover the workload and colleagues' absences Self-motivated, able to prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision An effective team member, able to communicate well orally and in writing Flexible, with a creative approach to problem-solving What's next?
