Mechanical Technician - Power Station Circa £50,000 + Benefits & Bonus (Monday to Friday) Slough We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join the Maintenance department of a Newly Commissioned Power Station in Slough. Alecto Recruitment is keen to hear from Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineers, Technicians and Fitters with experience working in heavy engineering sectors including power stations, water/wastewater, aggregates processing and petrochemical. You will be providing front line maintenance at the facility and be responsible for all aspects of the safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance on the mechanical equipment and systems on site. Package Details Salary is £50,000 Per Annum. This role is worked on a Monday to Friday basis. This role will include a Bonus structure, Private Medical, Income Protection and more. This opportunity comes with a vast amount of training and high possibility of Overtime. Role & Responsibilities Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, undertake and support the daily planned maintenance activities. Complete fault finding, diagnosis and repairs of the plant which include gearboxes, valves, compressors, pumps, fans, boilers etc. Undertake measures to improve the plant reliability, efficiency, and performance proactively, always in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain the site CMMS and record all historical works undertaken. Supervise 3rd party subcontracts on all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Complete health and safety paperwork following company guidelines. Provide technical support to the fuel handling and operations team for the plant when required. Requirements A relevant technical qualification such as a City & Guilds Level 3/Apprenticeship in an engineering discipline. At least 3 years' experience in a Maintenance environment on a Power Station/Heavy Process Plant. This could be Energy from Waste, Coal, CCGT, Biomass, CHP, Nuclear, Petrochemical etc. Royal Navy Marine Engineers with at least five years' service will also be considered. Ideally an IOSH or NEBOSH. Experience on heavy mechanical equipment such as Conveyors, Valves, Gearboxes, Pumps, Steam Raising equipment etc. To apply for this role please send your CV or call Ashley (phone number removed) for more information.
