About: We are now recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a small size accountancy expanding practice. This role will cover a range of responsibilities in a variety of different areas of bookkeeping, accounts preparation and tax. The position is a full-time role.
Your role will cover: Bookkeeping via a variety of digital systems. Preparation, calculation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC. Preparation of management accounts. Preparation, calculation and submission of Self-Assessment Returns to HMRC. Preparation of annual financial statements. Preparation, calculation and submission of Corporation Tax Returns to HMRC. Liaising with clients. Operating with a regular portfolio of clients. Qualifications: A good set of IT skills, with experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, accounts, tax and bookkeeping software, preferably with good experience of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent and IRIS/Digita. Good communication skills, able to confidently liaise with clients by telephone, e-mail and face to face. Good organizational skills. Able to work both individually and within a team. Preference will be given to candidates with experience within public practice. Preference will be given to candidates with AAT or above qualifications. 2 Years Experience (required).
