I am currently supporting a non-profit organisation based in the Burnley area, seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for a specific area of the group.
The key responsibilities will be:
Deliver an efficient and effective accountancy service for the subsidiary
Oversee the delivery of monthly management information to internal and external stakeholders
Manage a team of three
Cultivate strong relationships with the finance management team, operational teams, group business services, wider organisation, and customers
Promote and develop innovative ways of working to support key decision-making processes and influence future planning and business direction
Lead the setting of realistic and challenging budgets to support successful monitoring and reporting
Ensure adequate financial controls are in place, including oversight of all balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements:
Professional Accountancy Qualification (or working towards) / Qualified by Experience and evidence of Continued Professional Development
Strong financial management and accounting skills inclusive of experience in managing transactional teams.
Proficient in using accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of leading and managing a team
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Experience in the non-profit sector is desirable
