Overview We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. As a Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely in residential settings. This role requires hands-on expertise with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Required Qualifications Current Gas Safe qualification (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, WAT1) Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential properties. Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly and efficiently. Troubleshoot heating system issues and implement effective solutions. Use hand tools and power tools proficiently to complete tasks effectively. Assemble heating units and related components according to specifications. Perform plumbing tasks related to heating systems when required. Carry out heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements Minimum 2 years experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience with plumbing tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required. A valid clean driving licence is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
