Job description At our facility in Corsham, Wiltshire, the individual’s main responsibilities will be divided between hands-on practical tasks and desk-based activities. Practical work is comprised of conducting various chemical analyses on goods received and some small-scale manufacturing of reagents and solutions. Desk-based activities include proving technical support to customers and colleagues, to generating product documentation. All work is carried out in accordance with our ISO 9001 quality management system.

Requirements and qualifications We are looking for a self-motivated and competent individual to help towards the control and improvement of our product quality. Individuals must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on scientific accuracy. Qualifications in chemistry, biology or similar life science are required. Experience in quality control and analytical chemistry (ranging from wet chemistry techniques to HPLC/GC systems) is preferred but not essential.

Starting salary £23,000 – 24,500 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) The individual’s main responsibilities will cover the quality control of incoming and in-house manufactured chemical products The sourcing of materials, raising of purchase orders, communication with our suppliers and coordinating the associated inward bound logistics for purchased materials with both transport companies and other internal departments. To proactively find new customer leads and win new business, whilst supporting and developing existing customer contacts. The individual’s main responsibilities will be processing customer orders, tending to the needs of our existing client base and providing orders progress updates, preparing orders for the warehouse and booking shipments with our freight partners. The individual's main responsibility will be to carry out general warehouse tasks. On a day-to-day basis you will be expected to locate and pack chemical products for customer orders and carry out general warehouse maintenance tasks. At our facility in Planegg, Munich area, the individual’s main responsibilities will be to carry out administrative tasks to support sales, purchasing and logistics.
