The Job Mission We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer – Reactor Systems to contribute to the Hinkley Point C project. You will be reporting operationally to the Engineering Lead, and this role will involve: ️ Reviewing and accepting engineering queries raised by the site Contractor within the Nuclear Steam Supply Systems (NSSS) scope. ️ Responding to General Queries, Non-Conformances, Change Requests, and Exemption Requests. ️ Providing oversight to ensure Nuclear Safety requirements are met. ️ Contributing to the resolution and closure of Open Points. ️ Assessing technical risk and addressing it effectively. Essential Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience in UK or EU regulations is absolutely essential. Experience as a Mechanical Engineer within heavy industrial projects. Familiarity with steam supply or reactor systems, including design, operation, and maintenance, transferable from other industries. Desired Skills: ️ Understanding of Nuclear Safety requirements and risk assessment. ️ Professional Engineering (PE) license. ️ Certification or training in nuclear safety and regulations.
