The Role The University of London partners with Coursera, one of the world's leading online learning platforms, to deliver cutting-edge degrees and short courses to learners worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Senior Coursera Programmes Manager to lead this strategic partnership, ensuring the success and continuous improvement of our portfolio of programmes. This role sits within the University of London Worldwide, the division responsible for designing, developing and delivering our global online offerings and contributes directly to our mission to transform lives through education and our strategic objective to expand access to distance learning. As the Senior Coursera Programmes Manager, you will be the key point of contact for the UoL-Coursera partnership, leading all aspects of programme management, relationship governance and strategic collaboration. You will oversee the full lifecycle of our offerings, from inception to continuous improvement, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and align with both the University’s and Coursera’s goals. In this role, you will: Act as the senior liaison with Coursera’s leadership, managing all aspects of programme lifecycle activities, performance, escalations and governance. Coordinate activities across UoL, Coursera and academic partners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Lead the scoping, development and launch of innovative new degree programmes and short courses. Drive strategic projects to enhance student recruitment, retention, achievement and satisfaction. Oversee a diverse portfolio of online degrees and short courses, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maintaining the highest quality standards. Provide expert input on platform innovations and facilitate collaboration with academic and external partners. Represent UoL at strategic governance meetings, including quarterly business reviews and programme performance evaluations. Manage the portfolio of short open courses (MOOCs), identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. Cascade knowledge of Coursera’s product roadmap to internal teams, supporting informed course design and development. We are seeking an experienced professional with: Proven expertise in account management, partnership governance and programme lifecycle management. A track record of working in cross-functional environments to deliver complex projects. Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels. Experience in online education, distance learning, or a related field, with a passion for driving innovation and quality in education.
